As Christian faithful worldwide worshiped God Sunday 28th April 2024 being the fifth Sunday of Easter, the priest in charge and principal of Ufua memorial Catholic educational center, Uromi Rev. Fr Kelvin Ibhaze reminded and admonished Christian not to judge others by their past life and remain attached to Jesus Christ who is the true vine.
Fr. Ibhaze gave the admonition during his homily at the 6am Mass on Sunday at Holy Family Chapel in Efandion quarters, Uromi, Esan North East local government area of Edo state. He said we shouldn't judge people by their past life or write anyone of by what we have seen because we do not know who God has blessed adding that like the disciples in the days first reading who didn't want Saul in their midst, many of us are guilty, but we must leave judgement for God because he alone knows the future.
He further said Jesus use the image of the Vine in the days gospel to describe our relationship with him when he said; abide in me and I in you. As branches cannot bear fruit by it self unless it abides in the vine". stressing that during creation, God spoke to things and they brought forth living creatures but for man, he spoke to himself and that is why God is our natural environment and minus God man begins to die life fish out of water.
He finally urged Christian to firmly attached them self to Jesus Christ so that they can bear fruits the will last for eternity.
