The House of Representatives candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Esan North East and Esan South East Federal Constituency of Edo State, Hon. Sir, MD Igbas Ezehi has mourned the passage of Late Madam Rose AKUOGBE Alenkhe, mother of a veteran journalist and Edo NUJ chairman, Mr. Festus Alenkhe.
The House of Representatives hopeful commiserated with the son, Mr. Festus Alenkhe and family, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Uromi, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Hon. Sir. Igbas, prayed to the Almighty God to give Mr. Festus Alenkhe and the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss of their matriarch.
“On behalf of my wife and the good people of Esan North East and Esan South East Federal Constituency, I wish to commiserate with you and the entire Alenkhe family over the death of your beloved mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe at the good old age.
“Though the loss of a mother is a painful one, be consoled by the fact that your mother lived a worthy life of emulation within her community and beyond.”
The former Edo State House of Assembly member added that it is also to her eternal credit that while alive, she made footprints in the sand of time as a worthy mother to children beyond her matrimonial
home, an exemplary counselor, women leader, mentor and philanthropist.
He prayed God to grant Mr. Festus Alenkhe and his entire family the fortitude to bear the loss and also prayed for the peaceful repose of the gentle soul of the Alenkhe matriarch.
